My goal as your photographer is to make this experience as stress free as possible!  I don't want you to feel like things are too "posey" or like there's a lot of pressure on getting the "right" shots.  I always feel like the best pictures are the ones where you don't necessarily know that I'm there.  When I get to play fly-on-the-wall and see you and/or your family just interacting with the environment is where the real magic happens.  The true investment here is capturing these small little moments in time that will get to live on forever because you trusted me to capture you at your most authentic self.

Frequently Asked Questions + terms

1. Would you travel further than 50 miles?

Yes!  There will be an additional fee for my travel, but I would absolutely travel anywhere!  We can discuss what this will look like during our intrigue phone/video call.

2. refund policy

Refunds will not be issued under any circumstances EXCEPT in the event of the photographer initiating a cancellation.  In the event of any dissatisfaction, a refund will not be granted.

3. What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

A non-refundable retainer will be collected at the time of booking, but reschedules are permitted up to 10 days before your scheduled session.  Reschedules due to weather or unforeseen circumstances will also be honored with no additional cost.  Any cancellation after booking will result in a loss of your non-refundable retainer fee.  

4. Do you offer digital files, prints, or albums?

I offer digital downloads of all photos in a gallery.  At this time, I do not offer prints or albums and cannot be held responsible for any quality issues that may arise from using a print and/or album service.

5. editing

All editing will be up to my discretion.  Light retouching is done on each delivered photo.  Any requests outside of standard edits may be honored, but at an additional cost.  Scars/birth marks/unique features will not be edited unless requested.  Any other areas of concern should be addressed with me prior to the session.

6. Can I request specific poses or shots?

I am open to hearing and seeing proposed poses/shots, however these should be discussed at least 72 hours before your session.  I cannot guarantee requested shots and may not honor a request at my discretion.  

7. Can we meet before the session?

I would be more than happy to schedule either a phone call or a video meeting with you prior to booking or before your session to answer any questions/concerns/requests that you may have!

8. How long till I receive the final photos?

Full galleries will be delivered within 2 weeks at the most!

9. Client wardrobe

Client wardrobe pieces are property of Fenix + Flare and are for rent only.  All pieces must be returned at the end of your session.  If there's an outfit you had in mind that I do not own, let me know!  Depending on the piece, if you are willing to allow me to keep it to add it to the client wardrobe, I may be interested in purchasing it for your session!  If you need to try on a piece before our session, please coordinate that with me during our initial phone call so that we can find a time well before your session.  Most pieces will fit sizes small-large.

10. late arrivals/no shows

Arriving more than 10 minutes without ample notice will be treated as a no show and no shows will be charged the full session fee.

11. Usage of photos

I reserve the right to use all gallery photos for my website/portfolio/social media unless specified and discussed prior to booking.  As a client, you are permitted to use all images for personal use only.  Clients are NOT permitted to alter images in any way (i.e. filters).

12. agreement to Terms

Once booking is complete and payment has been submitted, you are agreeing to my terms and conditions in full.
